FIA WEC: Third and fifth for Audi in the Silverstone qualifying

Audi Sport Team Joest led all of three FIA WEC practice sessions at Silverstone. The two Le Mans Prototypes from the Ingolstadt brand performed well in the qualifying session.

Loic Duval, Lucas di Grassi and Oliver Jarvis with the #8 Audi R18 e-tron quattro qualified in third place overall. The three drivers set an average lap time of 1:40.352.

André Lotterer, Benoit Tréluyer and Marcel Fassler driving the #7 Audi R18 e-tron quattro qualified in fifth place. The three-time Le Mans 24 Hours trio set an average lap time of 1:41.153.

Up ahead it was an all Porsche affair. The #17 919 Hybrid won pole position ahead of the sister #18 car. The two Toyota works cars ended in positions four and six.
