Pirelli World Challenge: GMG Racing testing Audi R8 LMS ultra at The Thermal Club

GMG Racing was testing two of its cars at The Thermal Club this weekend. It was the debut test for Alec Udell in the new Porsche GT-Cup and he was joined by Brent Holden in his #44 Audi R8 LMS ultra.

The Californian based team is busy preparing for a four-car team in the Pirelli World Challenge, three Audi R8 LMS ultra entries and one Porsche GT-Cup. The team recently announced its plans which includes a GT Class entry for James Sofronas and his #14 Audi R8 LMS ultra, alongside two GTA Class entries for Brent Holden (#44 Audi) and Alex Welch (#76 Audi).


Holden is a long-time GMG driver who debuted his Audi R8 LMS ultra at the Long Beach Grand Prix last year, round two of the 2014 Pirelli World Challenge.

The 2015 Pirelli World Challenge will get underway at the Circuit of The Americas from 6-8 March. The entry list currently (as of 6 February 2015) includes five Audi R8 LMS ultra cars: Two cars from GMG Racing (Sofronas and Alex Welch) joined by single-car entries from CRP Racing, Cameron Racing amd JCR Motorsports.
