Thursday 12 February was the first open test day at Zolder for 2015 and a very interesting and equally powerful Audi R8 was testing at the track.
The evil-looking black "Audi R8 LMS ultra", driven by Dieter Schmidtmann, was running during the test day this week. This car was first shown on the Mcchip-DKR Facebook page at the beginning of January and hinted towards a very potent project.
The car has been fitted with Audi R8 LMS ultra bodywork and a wider version of the older R8 LMS spec rear-wing. On the inside the car still has all of the luxury features of any road-going Audi R8. Under the hood it features the 5.2 V10 which has been bolted to a Magnum supercharger, that is said to have upped the power to 700 HP along with a terrific exhaust note from the Capristo exhaust system.
Belgian-Motorsport.com was at the Zolder test day and took a number of photographs and produced a video featuring this road legal "Audi R8 LMS ultra". Turn up the volume and enjoy the video embedded below:
