An extraordinary start for the Audi brand in the 2015 DTM season. The Audi drivers dominated the qualifying session at Hockenheim.
Pole position for race 1 went to Audi factory driver Jamie Green. The Audi Sport Team Rosberg was the fastest in the 20-minute session with his #53 Audi RS 5 DTM. The Briton set the best time of 1:33.044.
Edoardo Mortara was fourth fastest with his #48 Audi RS 5 DTM from Audi Sport Team Abt. Nico Mueller was fifth with the #51 Audi RS 5 DTM from Audi Sport Team Rosberg.
2013 DTM champion Mike Rockenfeller (Audi Sport Team Phoenix) was seventh. Adrien Tambay (Audi Sport Team Abt) was eighth. Miguel Molina (Audi Sport Team Abt Sportsline) was tenth. Double DTM champion Mattias Ekstrom (Audi Sport Team Abt Sportsline) narrowly missed the Top 10 ending in eleventh place. Timo Scheider (Audi Sport Team Phoenix) was thirteenth fastest.
