The Nürburgring 24 Hours will be held next week. Audi will be well represented in the field with no less than seven new Audi R8 LMS ultra race cars. Audi is yet to win this event, they have come very close on many different occasions but the 24 hours at the Green Hell as always eluded the brand of the Four Rings.
It is an extremely demanding race which is comprised of many different classes of car. For the front running cars it is extremely difficult in traffic as the speed differential between the fastest cars and the slower traffic is massive.
Team ABT Sporstline at the 2003 N24
Here is a taste of this event ahead of the 2012 race this coming weekend. This is the highlights from the 2003 Nürburgring 24 Hours. It is a significant event for Audi fans as it was the first Nürburgring 24 Hours were a factory Audi team was entered. The factory supported ABT Sporstline team entered two ABT-Audi TT-R race cars and did very well.
