A lights-to-flag victory for Shaun Thong in the first Audi Sport TT Cup race at the Norisring. It was a very wet 25-lap race with difficult track conditions.
Shaun Thong started from pole postion with his #8 Audi TT race and was able to keep the race lead. Second place went to Jan Kisiel with the #43 Audi TT. The podium was completed by Nicolaj Moller Madsen in third place with his #17 Audi TT.
SEAT Sport factory driver Jordi Gené was fourth overall and the best guest driver with the #93 Audi TT.
Christoph Hofbauer (#7 Audi TT) was fifth. Joonas Lappalainen (#45 Audi TT) was sixth. Dennis Marschall (#27 Audi TT) was seventh. Mikaela Ahlin-Kottulinsky (#89 Audi TT) was eighth. Dominik Peitz (#26 Audi TT) was eighth. Loris Hezemans completed the Top 10 with the #50 Audi TT.
Playmate Doreen Seider (#99 Audi TT) ended the race in ninteenth place. Lamborghini GT racer Albert von Thurn und Taxis (#95 Audi TT) did not finish the race and ended in twenty-second place.
The second Audi Sport TT Cup at the Norisring will be held on Sunday.
