Blancpain Endurance Series: Audi teams performed well again in the Monza pre-qualifying

The Audi Sport customer racing teams had a positive free practice session earlier today at Monza, they performed well again the Blancpain Endurance Series pre-qualifying session this afternoon.

Two Audi R8 LMS ultra cars made it into the Top 10 in what is clearly seen as the best GT3 field worldwide.

Best of the Audis was again the #1 R8 LMS ultra from Belgian Audi Club Team WRT. The car was in the hands of Jean-Karl Vernay, Robin Frijns and Laurens Vanthoor.

I.S.R. Racing from the Czech Republic is still progrossing with the R8 LMS ultra. Their #75 Audi driven by Filip Salaquarda, Marco Bonanomi and Frederic Vervisch was eighth fastest.


Kelvin van der Linde, Stephane Richelmi and Christopher Mies driving the #3 entry from Belgian Audi Club Team WRT were twelfth.

Phoenix Racing skipped the free practice session did well with the brand new Audi R8 LMS. The #6 car ended in twenty-second place with drivers Christopher Haase, Christian Mamerow and Markus Winkelhock.

Gregory Guilvert, Edward Sandström and Edoardo Mortara were twenty-fourth behind the wheel of the #35 Audi R8 LMS. The second new Audi R8 LMS run by Belgian Audi Club Team WRT was twenty-fifth with Frank Stippler, Stephane Ortelli and Nico Müller.


The second I.S.R. Racing entry was twenty-seventh with the #74 Audi R8 LMS ultra of Fabio Onidi, Anders Fjordbach and Andrea Roda. Team Parker Racing's #24 Audi R8 LMS ultra was thirty-first overall leading the Am-Cup field with drivers Ian Loggie and Julian Westwood.

The #4 Audi R8 LMS ultra from Belgian Audi Club was thirty-fifth and the #36 Audi from Sainteloc Racing was fifty-fourth.

Audi teams and drivers will be back tomorrow for both quallifying session and the three-hour race.
