VLN: Rod Salmon at VLN test day ahead of Nürburgring 24 Hours with Audi race experience

Long-time Australian Audi entrant and reigning Australian GT Trophy class champion, Rod Salmon, was testing an Audi R8 LMS ultra at the VLN Nürburgring test day this past weekend.

Salmon was driving an Audi R8 LMS ultra from Audi race experience, run by TKL Motorsport. He is busy preparing for the 2015 Nürburgring 24 Hours where he will be driving one of the team's Audi R8 LMS ultra cars.

He will be returning to Germany for the Nürburgring 24 Hours qualifying race from 11-12 April, the second round of the VLN on 25 April, and the 24-hour race itself from 16-17 May.

Rod Salmon is the owner of the blue Skwirk and Beechwood sponsored Audi R8 LMS ultra in Australia, run by Melbourne Performance Centre. It is this car with which Nathan Antunes dominated the opening round of the Australian GT championship at Adelaide two weeks ago.
