DTM: Audi drivers again show strong pace on day two of testing in Portugal

The second of three days official DTM testing took place at Estoril in Portugal on Thursday.

Audi and Jamie Green topped the time sheets by the end of the first day and the Audi drivers again showed good pace on the second day.


The four Audi drivers behind the wheel of the Audi RS 5 DTM cars on Thursday included Mike Rockenfeller, Adrien Tambay, Nico Müller, Miguel Molina and Timo Scheider.

The morning session saw Audi drivers in positions two through four, with Rockenfeller ahead of Molina and Müller. Tambay was sixth.


It was a 1-2-3 for Audi during the afternoon session. Nico Müller was the fastest on track, followed by Molina in second, Tambay third and Scheider fifth.

By the end of the day the combined results saw Lucas Auer fastest in his Mercedes-Benz C63 DTM. He was followed by a quartet of Audi drivers, led by Nico Müller, Mike Rockenfeller, Miguel Molina and Adrien Tambay. Timo Scheider was seventh fastest in the combined results.

The third and final day of official DTM testing will be taking place at Estoril on Friday.
