JCR Motorsports is busy preparing for the 2015 season. They will be returning to the Pirelli World Challenge GT-A class with the #99 Audi R8 LMS ultra driven by Jeff Courtney.
An interview with Courtney was published by North American Sportscar (nasportscar.com) and this has confirmed that JCR Motorsports are preparing to return to the Pirelli World Challenge. It is very exciting news with another Audi R8 LMS ultra confirmed for the 2015 PWC grid, where multiple Audi teams are expected to compete in the ever-growing field of GT3 cars.
The JCR team joined the Audi Sport customer racing family at the beginning of 2013. They acquired the ex-Oryx Racing Audi R8 GRAND-AM that was seen in the Grand-Am Rolex Sports Car Series during 2012 and then competed at selected rounds of the 2013 Pirelli World Challenge. The car was then upgraded to the Audi R8 LMS ultra specification and was seen at five of the nine rounds of the 2014 Pirelli World Challenge, both years with Jeff Courtney behind the wheel.
