The second round of the Blancpain Sprint Series will be held at Brands Hatch this upcoming weekend. The Audi Sport customer racing squad will be represented by five Audi R8 LMS ultra cars.
W Racing team will enter three Audis. Two cars under Belgian Audi Club Team WRT banner with #1 Audi driven by Laurens Vanthoor and Cesar Ramos and #2 Audi in the hands of René Rast and Enzo Ide. The third WRT entry is under G-Drive Racing banner and will be shared by Stéphane Ortelli and Roman Rusinov. Belgian Audi Club Team WRT is second in the teams' standing with 23 points, G-Drive Racing is third with 21 points.
The other two Audis are from Phoenix Racing. The Nurburgring based team will field the #5 Audi R8 LMS ultra shared by Alessandro Latif and Marc Basseng. The sister #6 Audi R8 LMS ultra will be driven by Markus Winkelhock and Niki Mayr Melnhof. Phoenix Racing is fifth in the teams' standing with 12 points.
At Brands Hatch twenty-two cars will enter the event. The Audi teams will have to fight against a quality field from McLaren, Lamborghini, Mercedes-Benz and BMW teams.
The two races are set for Sunday, the qualifying race at 09:30 GMT and the Main Race at 13:45 GMT.
