FIA WEC: Second and fourth for Audi in the Silverstone qualifying

Silverstone played host to a very intense and emotional battle for pole position today. All three factory teams battled very well in the first qualifying session in the 2014 FIA World Endurance Championship season.
Audi Sport Team Joest with their two works Audi R18 e-tron quattro did very well. The #1 Audi R18 e-tron quattro qualified in a very strong second place. The car in the hands of Tom Kristensen, Loic Duval and Lucas di Grassi with an average time of 1:42.779, missing pole postion by just a narrow 0.005s.
The sister #2 Audi R18 e-tron quattro peformed well too. The car driven by André Lotterer, Marcel Fassler and Benoit Treluyer qualified in fourth place. Their average lap time was 1:43.137.
Pole position went to the #7 Toyota TS040 Hybrid. The TMG run car is shared by Wurz/Sarrazin/Nakajima with a best average time of 1:42.774.
.Third was the #14 Porsche 919 Hybrid of Dumas/Lieb/Jani. Fifth the #8 Toyota TS040 of Lapierre/Davidson/Buemi. Sixth the #20 Porsche 919 Hybrid of Webber/Bernhard/Hartley. Seventh and eighth the two privateer Lola Coupes from Rebellion Racing.
