Audi and Porsche traded fastest times during the daylight running at
Paul Ricard on Friday. The third test session was run during the evening and Porsche emerged at the top of the time sheets.
The FIA World Endurance Championship is hosting The Prologue this week, the official two-day test at Paul Ricard. All three of the factory LMP1 teams are taking part: Audi, Porsche and Toyota.
Audi Sport Team Joest has entered two new 2014 Audi R18 e-tron quattro cars at the test session, the same two driver combinations that are entered for the full 2014 FIA WEC season.
The #1 Audi R18 e-tron quattro is driven by Tom Kristensen, Loïc Duval and Lucas di Grassi. The sister #2 Audi R18 e-tron quattro is driven by Marcel Fässler, André Lotterer and Benoît Tréluyer.
Audi was first and fifth fastest during the morning session and placed
second and fifth during the second session.
The third and final session on Friday was held during the evening, 19:00-21:00.
Porsche went one better during the night and posted the first and second fastest times, #20 ahead of #14, with a fastest time of 1:41.289. Toyota #7 was third and Audi #2 was fourth. Toyota #8 rounded out the top five, whilst Audi #1 was seventh fastest overall, sixth in LMP1-H.

The final day of testing will take place tomorrow, with another set of morning and afternoon sessions.
