The 2014 Bridgestone Productions Cars Championship
will be getting underway at Zwartkops on Saturday 1 March. Four Audi S4 entries
will again be taking part this year, but with two new names joining the
line-up.
Three-time reigning Class A Champion, Michael Stephen, will be returning with the Engen Xtreme Terry Moss Racing squad, aiming for his fourth consecutive title. He will be back behind the wheel of his Audi S4. He will be joined by his new teammate, Simon Moss, the son of South African Audi legend and team owner, Terry Moss.
Vic Maharaj will again be running two Audi S4 cars this year. He has renamed his company from the long standing name of, VMP Motorsport, to VM Innovations. The big news this year is the backing from Sasolracing. VM Innovations will be preparing two Sasolracing Audi S4s.
Gennaro
Bonafede returns with the team for his second full Class A season, back behind the wheel of
a Sasolracing Audi S4. He will be joined by Hennie Groenewald in the second Sasolracing Audi S4.
Groenewald joins the Audi squad after competing for Sasol Subaru during the previous few
seasons. He will be driving the Audi S4 that was driven by Melvill Priest during 2012 and 2013.

Hennie Groenewald is no stranger to racing Audis in South Africa . He competed with the
private Scania backed Audi 80 Competition (pictured above) in the 1996 South African Super
Touring Car Championship and also once substituted for Terry Moss in a factory
Audi A4 touring car at East London in 1999, round 3 of the Bankfin Touring Cars.
The four Audi S4 drivers and teams will be
aiming to repeat the success from 2013, when Michael Stephen was crowned as the
Class A drivers’ champion and Audi as the manufacturers’ champion.
They will be facing off against Gavin
Cronje and Johan Fourie in Class A BMW 335i entries.
