The build up to the next big 24 Hour race in Europe got underway with
the Spa 24 Hours Test Day, which was held on Wednesday. A total of Seven Audi R8 LMS
ultra cars took part.
Four Audi teams have so far committed to the 2013 Spa 24 Hours, totaling nine Audi R8 LMS ultra cars. The teams include: Belgian AudiClub Team WRT (x4), Phoenix Racing (x2), Sainteloc Racing (x2) and United Autosports (x1). The only Audi team not present at the test day was Sainteloc, the other three teams accounted for six of the seven entries. The seventh entry was from “Audi AG” / Audi Sport customer racing, who fielded a test-car which was driven by Andre Lotterer.

The race itself is set for the last weekend of the month, 27-28 July.
Audi are the reigning champions in the Spa 24 hours, as they won with WRT in
2011 and Phoenix Racing in 2012. It will be up to the Audi Sport customer
racing teams to attempt to regain the title.
