Video: Closer look at the Audi R8 GRAND-AM

By Tarek Ramchani

Audi made history at the Rolex 24 at Daytona this year. The Ingolstadt brand won the demanding endurance classic for the first time, an 1-2 victory in the GT class, with the Audi R8 GRAND-AM. Alex Job Racing in first ahead of APR Motorsport in second, with impressive performances from the cars, teams and drivers. Sadly the car is no longer racing in the Rolex Series (at least for now). APR Motorsport, the only team fielding the R8 GRAND-AM in the series, stopped their program.

An Audi R8 GRAND-AM was on display at the Grand Prix of Detroit. Both the Grand-Am Rolex Series and the Pirelli World Challenge were supporting the main IndyCar event. Here is a video of the car from the Jon Tuazon Youtube channel. The "American R16" looks great with its all silver factory quattro GmbH/Audi Sport customer racing livery.
