2.1. Legend Boucles de Spa
A number of Audi rally cars competed in the Legend Boucles de Spa this
weekend, a historic rally event. Among the entries was an Audi quattro
featuring a FIA WEC livery and driven by the 2011 and 2012 Le Mans winner, André Lotterer.
2.2. Shell Carrera Cup
The Shell Carrera Cup got underway on Thursday
with the Shell 20 Minutes of Hamburg. The Carrera Cup is a slotcar series, a series
very popular amongst Audi Sport employees. Figuratively speaking the event was
the race debut of the new 2013 Audi R8 LMS ultra. The 1:24 Audi R8 LMS slot
cars have been upgraded to resemble the new Audi R8 LMS ultra with the
addition of the new rear exhausts and the swan-neck rear wing. It was a very close
event with the victory being decided in the last minute. In the end the race
win went to the pairing of Thomas Voigt and Helmut Schmid, who gave the new 2013 Audi R8 LMS
ultra design its first race victory.
2.3. Midas Clubmans
The first Midas Clubmans race meeting took place at Killarney in South Africa this weekend. Two Audi A4 cars were entered by Nieyaaz Modack and Andre Johnson. Unfortunately Modack did not compete in any of the sessions or races. Johnson, with his new blue/white/black livery, finished fifth in race one and eleventh in race two.

2.5. Other Audi News
A Truth in 24 Collector's Edition on Blu-ray was released this week. Both Truth in 24 films are on the disk along with other additional content, totaling over a 170 minutes of video. This Collector's Edition is the first time that either of the Truth in 24 films are being sold as a high definition Blu-ray product. It has gone on sale at the Adrenalin website (Audi Shop) and the DukeVideo website.
The first
2013 Audi R8 LMS ultra was spotted in the Netherlands this week. The car featured the newly updated aerodynamics and was packaged for transport. As of yet it is
unknown to which team this car is heading. More can be read HERE.
The first confirmed delivery of a 2013 Audi R8 LMS ultra followed shortly on the heels of the first public sighting. Hitotsuyama Racing are the first team to confirm their delivery of a new ultra. They have also claimed that it is the first delivery in the world. The car arrived late on Friday followed by a number of photos appearing online. Details regarding the team's plans for 2013 are yet to be announced. More can be read HERE.

During 2012 the Prosperia UHC Speed team competed in the ADAC GT Masters, DMV TCC and the Avd
100 Meilen. This week they released a video trailer announcing their intentions
to compete during 2013. In the video it was also revealed that the team will
now be called Prosperia C.ABT Racing and will be a partner of the Dancecom
Project.
The Superstars Championship
awards ceremony followed the group test session at Adria last week. Johan Kristoffersson’s trophy for the 2012
Superstars driver’s championship was awarded at the event. His trophy along the Audi Sport
Italia built Audi RS5 were seen in the Audi Sport Italia workshop this week.
Many French GT
Tour teams took part in test sessions held at Lédenon
this week. The Team Speed Car team were present at the test with their Audi R8 LMS
ultra which was presented for the first time with its new race livery. The livery
was designed by Berzerkdesign. More can be read HERE.
The ATL Automotive
sponsored ABT-Audi TT-R of Doug Gore arrived back in Jamaica this week. The car
has been in Germany for many months after undergoing repairs at the ABT Sportsline
workshops, following a large crash at Dover in Jamaica last May. It is reported
that the car has been updated and has a higher power output. It will receive
a red, white and blue livery as the team prepares the car for the first race
event of the year held at Jamwest Speedway at the beginning of March.
A few weeks ago the first images appeared online suggesting that MS Racing, the 2012 ADAC GT Masters champions, would be running Audi R8 LMS ultra cars during 2013. The news has now officially been confirmed as the team announced that they will be running a two-car team of Audi R8 LMS ultra race cars in the 2013 ADAC GT Masters.

The Istook
Motorsport team is hard at work preparing their two race cars for 2013. They
will run two Audi TT RS race cars in the SCCA World Challenge GTS class. They
are busy completing the build of their second car whilst preparing their
existing car as well.
Team Nova
Driver have already announced their plans for the 2013 season. The team has
been working hard with pre-season preparations. They have also mentioned their
intention to upgrade their Audi R8 LMS ultra cars to 2013 specification, which
will take place once the team receives the upgrade packages.
Timo Scheider starred in a spectacular new video this week. He was armed with a limited edition Audi A1 quattro and allowed to run on a new construction site. The video is featuring as promotional content for the new Audi Gebrauchtwagen Zentrum Müchen, the largest Audi used car dealership in Germany, set to be opened during 2013. The Twin Busch Motorsport team took part in test sessions at Catalunya in Barcelona this week. The team were testing new Kumho tires on their Audi R8 LMS car which debuted in the VLN last year.
