Last year Audi released a thirteen minute documentary titled “13,854 Seconds - A dramatic 24 Hours of Le Mans”. The video featured the 2011 Le Mans race and it was a massive hit, but even
more so was one single short clip from the video. Near the end of the video there was a short
slow motion shot of Red Sonja clipping the curbs at the Ford Chicane. The shot
became an instant classic and still regularly appears on Audi sites.
Following the 2012 Le Mans triumph Audi have released their latest short
feature film for this year’s race. It is another great video, and yet again the
“jumping shot” has returned. This time it is the #2 Audi R18 e-tron quattro
attacking the curbs at the Ford Chicane near the end of the video. It is easy
to see why these shots are so popular, they are absolutely stunning. You can
