Option Cup: Victory for Team Audi Taiwan Audi R8 LMS at Penbay finale

The Penbay International Circuit in Taiwan hosted the fourth and final round of the Option Cup this weekend. Team Audi Taiwan took part in the GT Challenge with their #255 Audi R8 LMS driven by Jeffrey Lee, entered in the GT Challenge Open class.

This was Team Audi Taiwan’s first appearance in the Option Cup this year. The Absolute Racing run J-Fly Racing / Team Audi Taiwan team did make an appearance in the Taiwan Speed Festival earlier this year in April and also took part in one Option Cup round during 2013.

Jeffrey Lee showed strong pace all weekend and qualified second on the grid. He shared the front row with the #15 J-Fly Racing Lamborghini of Kevin Chen, who set a 1:41.842 in comparison to Jeffrey Lee's 1:42.104.

The GT Challenge race was held on Sunday and Jeffrey Lee piloted the #255 Audi R8 LMS to a well deserved overall victory. He completed the twelve lap race with a winning margin of over twenty-six seconds ahead of Kevin Chen in the J-Fly Lamborghini.
