By Tarek Ramchani

It's Silverstone Classic weekend at the "Home of British Motorsport". The event is featuring the HSCC Super Touring Car Championship. Great and legendary Super Touring Car machines are on site including some Audis.

Race 1 held this afternoon was won by an Audi 80, an ex ROC Competition car from French Supertourisme. The winning car was driven by former British Touring Car Championship competitor Frank Wrathall. He started from eleventh place on the grid and managed to bounce back passing his rivals one by one.

It was a dominant win for Frank Wrathall with the Audi 80 with the fastest lap time of the race. He ended the 9-lap race ahead of a trio of Hondas.

Race 2 is set for Sunday.
