An amazing qualifying session for the Audi brand at the Red Bull Ring. An all Audi RS 5 DTM front row for the first race of the weekend in Spielberg.
Edoardo Mortara (Audi Sport Team Abt) clinched a great pole position in the very closing stages of the session. This is second DTM pole position for the Italian ace. Edo set the best time with 1:24.714.
Second place went to DTM points leader Jamie Green (Audi Sport Team Rosberg). The Briton set a personal best of 1:24.907 and was only 0.193 behind Mortara's time.
Two Audi drivers made it inside the top-ten overall. Mattias Ekstrom (Audi Sport Team Abt Sportsline) was ninth. Mike Rockenfeller (Audi Sport Team Phoenix) was tenth. Adrien Tambay (Audi Sport Team Abt) was eleventh.
Nico Mueller (Audi Sport Team Rosberg) was fourteenth. Timo Scheider (Audi Sport Team Phoenix) was sixteenth. Miguel Molina (Audi Sport Team Abt Sportsline) was twentieth.
