Audi Sport Team Joest was the fastest in the third and final FIA WEC practice session today at Spa-Francorchamps.
The factory #7 Audi R18 e-tron quattro driven by André Lotterer, Benoit Tréluyer and Marcel Fassler set the quickest time in the 90-minute session with 1:57.368.
The 6 Hours of Silverstone trio were followed by three works Porsches. The #19 919 Hybrid with Nico Hulkenberg, Earl Bamber and Nick Tandy was second. The #18 car shared by Romain Dumas, Neel Jani and Marc Lieb was third. Timo Bernhard, Mark Webber and Brendon Hartley were fourth behind the wheel of the #17 Porsche.
The second best ranked Audi car was the #8 R18 e-tron quattro in fifth place overall with drivers Lucas di Grassi, Loic Duval and Oliver Jarvis.
The #9 Audi R18 e-tron quattro was eighth overall. Marco Bonanomi, Filipe Albuquerque and René Rast ended behind the two Toyota TS040 Hybrid cars.
The qualifying session is coming next with an expected titanic and thrilling battle for the pole position.
