Audi Sport Italia has had a terrific weekend. They won both Superstars
races in Portugal and the first Italian GT race at Imola. They closed out the
weekend with another good result in Italy.
Race two of the Italian GT Championship has been completed at Imola and yielded yet another podium result. The #5 Audi R8 LMS ultra of Alex Frassineti and Johan Kristoffersson finished on the podium, taking third place. Their teammates Dindo Capello and Andrea Sonvico, who won race one today, finished race two in seventh place.
The final race at Imola was won by the Black Bull Swisse Racing Ferrari
458, followed by the Ebimotors Porsche 911.
It has certainly been a Sunday to remember for Audi Sport Italia. Competing in two countries with three wins out of four races, and a podium in the fourth.
The Italian GT Championship will resume for the next round in September, which will again be hosted at Imola.
