Round five of the FIA World Endurance Championship is set for Brazil in two weeks time, the 6 Hours of São Paulo at Interlagos circuit. The official entry list for the event has been released as the countdown continues. Audi Sport Team Joest will be there with a pair of R18 LMP1 cars. Andre Lotterer, Benoit Treluyer and Marcel Fässler were the winners last time out at Silverstone. The trio with share the hybrid-diesel #1 Audi R18 e-tron quattro. The sister #2 Audi R18 ultra will have Allan McNish and Tom Kristensen. The two Audi regulars in #2 will be joined by a local driver, Lucas di Grassi. The Brazilian ex-F1 driver will race for the first time in Le Mans Prototypes and this is expected to be a single appearance for him with Audi in this FIA WEC season. Audi as a brand already clinched the LMP1 World Constructors championship title after only four rounds.
The rivals from Toyota, as in Britain, will again field a single TS030 Hybrid. The #7 car from Toyota Racing will be in hands of Alexander Wurz and Nicolas Lapierre. The other LMP1 competitors are from Rebellion Racing with their Toyota powered Lolas and two HPDs from JRM Racing and Strakka Racing.
