By Tarek Ramchani

The Audi drivers faced an unbelievable bad luck today at Estering, round five of the FIA World Rallycross Championship. All of the three teams and five drivers performed well and all the three diffrent Audi models were fast, yet it was not enough.

Following four action packed heats, two Audi drivers did not make it to the semi-finals. Mattias Ekstrom behind the wheel of the EKS #10 Audi S1 ended in position fifteen. ALL-INKL Münnich Motorsport's Alx Danielsson was a position behind Eki, ending in sixteenth place with his #55 Audi S3.

Three Audi driver made it to the Semi-Finals. EKS' Anton Marklund (#92 Audi S1), ALL-INKL Münnich Motorsport team owner René Münnich (#77 Audi S3) and Larsson Jernberg Racing's Robin Larsson (#4 Audi A1).

The first Semi-Final, Anton Marklund was taken out right after the start of the race. The young Swedish driver was forced to retire.

In the second Semi-Final there was an unfortunate contact at the start between Robin Larsson and René Münnich. The latter was forced to retire. Robin Larsson was able to continue and finished the 6-lap race in fourth place narrowly missing a place in the big Final.

Overall victory at Estering went to Peugeot Hansen's Davy Jeanney, the French driver scoring his first ever win in FIA World Rallycross Championship. Second place went to the regning world champion Petter Solberg with his Citroën DS3. Timmy Hansen completed the podium with the second factory entry from Peugeot Hansen.
