Audi Sport Italia perfomerd well in the first Italian GT Championship race of the weekend at Imola. Dindo Capello and team-mate Emanuele Zonzini took a fine second place.
The two drivers shared the #6 Audi R8 LMS ultra and finised the 50-minute race behind the race winning #12 Ferrari 458 GT3 from Ombra Racing. A good result for both Dindo Capello and Emanuele Zonzini after some unlucky races in the opening rounds of the 2015 season.
Unfortunately the second entry from the Audi Italia official dealer team did not start the race. The #7 Audi R8 LMS ultra shared by Marco Mapelli and Andrea Amici faced engine issues and was forced to skip the event. Audi Sport Italia opted to change the engine and the car will be ready for tomorrow's race 2.
