The Audi teams performed well in today's Spa 24 Hours test day. The Audi R8 LMS and ultra cars were among the fastest GT3 machines all day long in the Belgian Ardennes with a total of three cars inside the Top 10.
At the end of the day and the two 4-hour sessions, the fastest Audi was the #1 new Audi R8 LMS from Audi Sport Team WRT in sixth place overall. The car is shared by last year winners Laurens Vanthoor, René Rast and Markus Winkcoehock with a best time of 2:19.589.
ISR Racing from the Czech Republic had a strong test day. Their #75 Audi R8 LMS ultra was seventh fastest. The car was in the hands of Filip Salaquarda, Marco Bonanomi and Frederic Vervisch, they set a best time of 2:19.706.
The #5 new Audi R8 LMS from Audi Sport Team Phoenix was ninth fastest with drivers Christian Mamerow, Christopher Mies and Nicki Thiim.
All of the other Audi cars were outside the Top 20. The #4 Audi R8 LMS ultra from Belgian Audi Club Team WRT (Bottemanne-Koebolt-Schothorst-Nash) was twenty-second and tenth within the Pro-Am Cup class.
The #2 new Audi R8 LMS from Audi Sport Team WRT (Stippler-Ortelli-Müller) was twenty-ninth. The #6 new Audi R8 LMS from Audi Sport Team Phoenix (Fässler-Lotterer-Rockenfeller) was thirtieth. The #3 Audi R8 LMS from Belgian Audi Club Team WRT (Frijns-Vernay-Richelmi) was thirty-first. The #35 Audi R8 LMS ultra from Sainteloc Racing (Guilvert-Sandström-Basseng) was thirty-fourth.
Team Parker Racing from the UK was fourty-third overall, but was second fastest within the Am-Cup class with their #24 Audi R8 LMS driven by Benny Simonsen/John Loggi Julian Westwood and Callum MacLeod.
