SRO Motorsports Group has revealed the provisional entry list for the upcoming Spa 24 Hours. No less than 66 GT3 cars will enter the stellar event of the Blancpain Endurance Series. The Belgian endurance classic will see a true Audi assault with no less than ten cars.
The Audi presence will stronger than ever in the Belgian Ardennes with seven Audi R8 LMS and ultra cars competing in the upper Pro-Cup class. The target will be a fourth outright victory, the Ingolstadt brand already won the event three times in the past four years, 2011, 2012 and 2014.
Audi will field four brand new Audi R8 LMS cars. Audi Sport Team WRT (Belgium) and Audi Sport Team Phoenix (Germany) will enter the event with two-car effort each. All the four cars will feature very strong line-ups.
In addition to the four new cars, three ultra models will fight for the overall victory. Belgian Audi Club Team WRT, ISR Racing (Czech Republic) and Sainteloc Racing (France) will have one Audi R8 LMS ultra each.
The Pro-Am class will feature one Audi R8 LMS ultra from Belgian Audi Club Team WRT. The Am-Cup - former Gentlemen Trophy - will see two Audis competing for class victories from Team Parker Racing (UK) and Sainteloc Racing (France).
Audi will face very strong rivals in all of the series three classes. The Pro-Cup field will feature a great selection of factory supported teams representing, BMW, Bentley, Aston Martin, Lamborghini, McLaren and Nissan.
