DTM: Jamie Green leads a historical 1-2-3-4-5 Audi victory at Lausitzring

Jamie Green did it again, the British driver wins a thrilling DTM race at the Lausitzring. A historical 1-2-3-4-5 victory for the Audi brand.

The Audi Sport Team Rosberg driver started from pole position and had to battle all race long with fellow Audi driver Mattias Ekström.

Green and Eki gave the fans on site on around the world some great, hard and fair battles for race win. At the end of the 60-minute race, Green crossed the finish line victorious ahead of the double DTM champion. A back to back victory for Green who becomes the first driver to win the two races in a DTM weekend.


Behind Green and Ekström there was a titanic threeway battle for the final spot on the podium feautring three Audi drivers, Miguel Molina (Audi Sport Team Abt), Timo Scheider (Audi Sport Team Phoenix) and Edoardo Mortara (Audi Sport Team Abt).

The three drivers battled each other very hard to checkered flag. Miguel Molina took the third place, Timo Scheider was fourth and Edoardo Mortata ended in fifth place. The latter had to defend his fifth place in the closing stages of the race from Mercedes-Benz's Daniel Juncadella assaults.

Nico Müller (Audi Sport Team Rosberg) was ninth. Mike Rockenfeller (Audi Sport Team Phoenix) was  eleventh. Adrien Tambay (Audi Sport Team Abt) was twentieth.

The next round for the Deutsche Tourenwagen Masters will be at beautiful Norisring street course, June 27th and 28th.
