DTM: Jamie Green wins as Audi takes a 1-2-3-4 victory at Lausitzring

It was an all affair at the Lausitzring today in opening race. Jamie Green took a great race victory and the Ingolstadt brand clinched an amazing 1-2-3-4 victory.

It was a titanic battle for race lead and podium positions between four Audi drivers. Miguel Molina who started from pole position, Jamie Green, Edoardo Mortara and Mattias Ekstrom.

The four Audi drivers were closing to each other all race long. Jamie Green chased Miguel Molina for race lead but his DRS was not working, the British driver had pace but was not able to overtake the Spanish. Right behind Edoardo Mortara and Mattias Ekstrom battled for third place.


With eight minutes to go, Jamie Green made the decisive move. The Audi Sport Team Rosberg overtook Miguel Molina in turn 1 and took the race lead.

A lap later Edoardo Mortara was able to take second place passing Miguel Molina. So did Mattias Ekstrom with five minutes to go taking the final spot on the podium.

At the end of the 40-minute race, Jamie Green crossed the finish line victorious, Edoardo Mortata in second and Mattias Ekstrom in third. Miguel Molina ended in a strong fourth place.

Audi Sport Team Phoenix drivers Timo Scheider and Mike Rockenfeller were eighth and ninth. Adrien Tambay was sixteenth and Nico Mueller was twentieth.
