As was the case yesterday in the DTM opening practice session at Hockenheim, Edoardo Mortara was able to lead the field in the second practice session. And yet again another 1-2 Audi and a total of six RS 5 DTM cars made it into the Top 10.
The Italian with his Castrol backed #48 Audi RS 5 DTM was the quickest this morning. The Audi Sport Team Abt driver set the best time in the session with 1:32.672.
Jamie Green was second fastest with his #53 Audi RS 5 DTM. The Audi Sport Team Rosberg driver set a personal best time of 1:32.774.
Double DTM champion Timo Scheider (Audi Sport Team Phoenix) ended the session is a strong fourth place with his #10 RS 5 DTM. The other double DTM champion, Mattias Ekström (Audi Sport Team Abt Sportsline) performed well and took position five.
Miguel Molina (Audi Sport Team Abt Sporsline) was seventh fastest and Mike Rockenfeller (Audi Sport Team Phoenix) was ninth.
Two Audi drivers were outside the Top 10. Nico Mueller (Audi Sport Team Rosberg) was twelfth and Adrien Tambay (Audi Sport Team Abt) was sixteenth.
