2014 VW Fun Cup champions rewarded with WRT Audi R8 LMS ultra test at Misano

The 2014 European VW Fun Cup champions, Eric Gressens and Philippe Crosset, were both rewarded with an Audi R8 LMS ultra test with Belgian Audi Club Team WRT. The Belgian Audi Sport customer racing team was out testing three of its Audi R8 LMS ultra cars at Misano in Italy last week.

Amongst the team’s preparations for the 2015 Blancpain GT Series, they provided the opportunity for Gressens and Crosset to test one of the WRT Audi R8 LMS ultra cars.

At the beginning of 2014 the European VW Fun Cup announced an incentive reward for the winners of the Fun Cup title in 2014. This reward would consist of a test session with Belgian Audi Club Team WRT and one of their Audi R8 LMS ultra machines.

By the end of 2014 it was Eric Gressens and Philippe Crosset who were crowned as the 2014 European VW Fun Cup champions in the #19 Colson Racing VW Fun Cup race car. They were then invited to join Belgian Audi Club Team WRT for the two days of testing in Italy, where they got the chance to experience the Audi R8 LMS ultra first hand, an experience that both say they will not forget.
