The Audi teams performed well in opening the day of the TUDOR United SportsCar Championship's Roar Before the Rolex 24, they did the same in the second day at Daytona.
The two Audi Sport customer racing teams Flying Lizard Motorsports and Paul Miller Racing took part in all four sessions. Both teams showing again strong performances with their R8 LMS cars in a very demanding and close GT Daytona class.
Flying Lizard Motorsport fielded again their #45 Audi R8 LMS. The car was shared by Markus Winkelhock, Tomonobu Fujii, Satoshi Hoshino and Robert Thorne.
In the third session (first of Saturday tests) the Lizards ended in sixth place within the GTD class with a best time of 1:47.805. In the fourth session they were twelfth with a best time of 1:49.129. In the fifth session the California based squad was thirteenth with a best time of 1:50.379. In the sixth and final session they ended the day with a very strong second in class and a best time of 1:47.581.
Paul Miller Racing entered the #48 Audi R8 LMS. The car was driven by Dion von Moltke, Christopher Haase, René Rast and Bryce Miller.
In the third session the Paul Miller Audi was twelfth fastest in GTD with a best time of 1:48.445. Later in the fourth session they were able to improve and ended in sixth place with a best time of 1:48.217. Strong run in the fifth session with a very strong second place and a best time of 1:47.669. In the final session of the day the #48 R8 LMS was seventh fastest with a best time of 1:47.903.

Daytona International Speedway will play host to a third and final day of official TUDOR United SportsCar Championship tests. The two Audi teams will take part in two additional sessions.
