SCCA U.S. Majors: Grey Fox Racing Fall-Line Audi R8 LMS ultra with Gary Kachadurian at Sebring

The second race meeting of the SCCA U.S. Majors Tour Southeastern Conference took place at Sebring Raceway this weekend. One Audi R8 LMS ultra entry was among the competitors.

Gary Kachadurian was entered in the Grey Fox Racing #64 Audi R8 LMS ultra from Fall-Line Motorsports. It is the same car that Fall-Line Motorsports campaigned in the 2013 Grand-Am and the 2014 TUSC. The car has been upgraded to the Audi R8 LMS ultra aerodynamic specification.

Two qualifying sessions set the grid order for the two races of the weekend, a thirty minute timed race on Saturday, followed by the 20 lap/forty minute timed feature race on Sunday.

He was entered in the SCCA GT1 class, which was part of Group 6 and included the SCCA GT1, GT2, GT3, T1 and AS classes.

The two qualifying sessions saw Kachadurian qualifying ninth and eighth within GT1 respectively, both times taking twenty-forth overall on the grid.

Saterday’s first thirty minute race concluded with Kachadurian moving up to fifth place in class, twentieth overall.

The feature race for Group 6 on Sunday saw Gary Kachadurian charging hard, but an unfortunate mechanical issue sidelined him after completing only nine of the eventual fifteen race laps.

The third meeting of the Majors Southeastern Conference will be held at NOLA Motorsports Park from 7-8 March.
