DTM testing took place at Jerez in Spain this week. Audi Sport took the opportunity, as they do annually, to allow young talent to test their DTM machinery at these winter test days. It was the first taste of the Audi RS 5 DTM for these six young drivers.
The list of young drivers included: Laurens Vanthoor, Dean Stoneman, Nicki Thiim, Alex Palou, Antonio Giovinazzi and Marco Mapelli. Current Audi Sport factory drivers, Miguel Molina, Nico Müller and Mattias Ekström, were also at the test days which concluded on Thursday.
All three of the DTM manufactures, Audi, BMW and Mercedes-Benz, took part in the week-long testing at Jerez.
