The French V de V Endurance Series headed to Estoril in Spain for the season finale this weekend, round seven of 2014. It was a six-hour endurance race and one Audi Sport customer racing team took part in the event.
AB Sport Auto entered their #45 Audi R8 LMS in the GTV 2 class, driven by Franck Thybaud, Michel Wegelin and Thierry Proust. Coming into the finale weekend it was Franck Thybaud leading the GTV 2 class championship points standings.

The trio qualified second in class, taking eighth on the grid overall.
They dropped back during the opening hours, but by the end of the six-hour endurance race the AB Sport Auto squad had soldiered on and brought their R8 LMS across the line in fourth place, sixth overall. They were in contention for a class podium during the closing stages of the race.
This result was enough to crown Franck Thybaud as the 2014 V de V Endurance Series champion in the GTV 2 class.
