ADAC GT Masters: The Audi teams move to Holland for round two at Zandvoort

Zandvoort in the Netherlands is hosting the second round of the 2014 ADAC GT Masters this weekend. The Audi Sport customer racing squad will be represented by five Audi R8 LMS ultra cars.

Last time out at Oschersleben the Audi teams performed very well. Prosperia C.Abt Racing gave Audi a victory in Race 2 and a strong seconf in Race 1 both in the hands of René Rast and South African Kelvin van der Linde. The two drivers are leading the overall standing with 43 points.

At Zandvoort, Prosperia C.Abt Racing will again field three Audi R8 LMS ultra cars. René Rast and Kelvin van der Linde will share again the #10 Audi. The #11 R8 LMS ultra will be driven by Fabian Hamprecht and Nicki Thiim. At Oschersleben, Nicki Thiim escaped from a massive crash in Race 2. The third car is the #12 in the hands of Stefan Wackerbauer  and Markus Winkelhock. Prosperica C.Abt Racing is leading the teams' standing with 43 points. At the Dutch round, the Christian Abt managed team is aiming to keep their lead in both championship tables.


MS Racing will field an Audi R8 LMS ultra under kfzteile24 APR Motorsport banner. The #100 car will be in the hands of Daniel Dobitsch and Florian Stoll who are sixth in the overall standing with 12 points.

The fifth Audi car is coming from team YACO Racing. Their #16 Audi R8 LMS is shared by Rahel Frey and Philip Geipel.

The action will start tomorrow at Zandvoort with two practice sessions followed by two qualifying sessions.
