By Tarek Ramchani

IMSA (International Motor Sports Association) has released the entry list for the upcoming 12 Hours of Sebring, round 2 of the TUDOR United SportsCar Championship. A very healthy grid, no less than 68 cars, will take part in the event, including five Audi R8 LMS cars.

The Audi entries are listed within the GT Daytona class (GTD). The cars are from the four regular TUSC Audi teams. As was the case at the Rolex 24 last time out, all the teams will have Audi factory drivers in their line-ups. The Audi Sport customer racing squad performed very well at Daytona and will again target the class win at Sebring.

Flying Lizard Motorsports will have a two-car effort. The #35 Audi R8 LMS with drivers Seth Neiman, Dion von Moltke, Alessandro Latif and Audi factory driver, Filipe Albuquerque. The sister #45 entry will be shared by Spencer Pumpelly, Nelson Canache Jr, Tim Pappas and Audi quattro GmbH driver, Markus Winkelhock.

The remaining three Audi teams will again field a single R8 LMS car each. GMG Racing will enter their #32 Audi with drivers James Sofronas, Alex Welch and Marc Basseng. The Fall-Line Motorsports #46 R8 LMS will be in the hands of Christopher Mies, Charlie Putman and Charles Espenlaub. The Paul Miller Racing #48 car will be driven by Bryce Miller, Christopher Haase and Matthew Bell.

At Sebring the Audi teams will face very strong rivals from various brands including Ferrari, Porsche, SRT Viper, Aston Martin and BMW. The 12 Hours of Sebring entry list can be seen HERE.

Before the traditional 12 Hours of Sebring, the TUSC teams will have two days of testing at the famous Florida circuit on Thursday and Friday this week.
