BPCC: Top Talent at the Helm for Audi in National Championship

Audi South Africa Press Release

Audi South Africa takes to the starting grid of the 2014 Bridgestone Production Car season at round one of the national Super Series at Zwartkops on Saturday, March 1. Four top level competitors will be in action behind the wheel of their Audi S4 quattros.

Defending champion Michael Stephen will be aiming to start the season strong – mounting a challenge for a fourth title at the same time. Stephen will be piloting one of two Engen Xtreme Audi S4 quattros, the other will be under the control of teammate Simon Moss who debuts in the production car series this season.

Moss faces a steep learning curve in this formula, but has proved he can keep up when the pace gets hot and can draw from both local and international experience in karts, single-seaters and the Engen Volkswagen Cup which he contested last year.

Gennaro Bonafede returns to the championship this season behind the wheel of his Audi S4 quattro which will run under Audi Sasolracing colours. Bonafede put in a good performance last season and will be on a charge for a championship this year. Starting off the year with a podium finish will be high on his list of priorities.

Another racer new to the Audi S4 quattro this season is no stranger to the production car series. Hennie Groenewald will round out the quartet of Audi entries this season, bringing his considerable talent and determination to the brand.

Groenewald is no stranger to the Bridgestone Production Car series and with Audi's proven track record and performance, 2014 could be his year to shine.

All four racers will be working to defend Audi's Manufacturer Title of 2013.
