TUSC: Flying Lizard Enters Rolex 24 Hours of Daytona Race Week

Following a very successful three day Roar Before the Rolex 24 test in which the team had the quickest time in the TUDOR United SportsCar Championship GT Daytona class, Flying Lizard Motorsports returns to Daytona Beach for the opening race of the 2014 season, the Rolex 24 at Daytona.

As its name implies, the race runs a full 24-hours, starting at 2:10pm ET on Saturday, January 25th and finishing the following afternoon. Two days of practices will precede the race, with qualifying on Thursday afternoon.

The team will once again campaign its two new 2014 Audi R8 LMS race cars in the 29-car GTD class, with driving duties in the No. 35 PR Newswire / UBM Tech / eSilicon R8 LMS shared by Seth Neiman (USA), Dion von Moltke (South Africa), Filipe Albuquerque (Portugal), and Alessandro Latif (UK/Italy). The No. 45 Venezuela / eSilicon R8 LMS will be driven by Nelson Canache Jr. (Venezuela), Spencer Pumpelly (USA), Markus Winkelhock (Germany), and Tim Pappas (USA).

Live timing and scoring for all practice sessions, qualifying, and the race can be found at www.imsa.com and on the IMSA mobile app. The race will be televised on FOX from 2pm to 4pm ET and on FOX Sports 2 from 4pm to 9pm ET on Saturday, June 25. Overnight coverage from 9pm to 7am ET will be available on IMSA.com, with run to the finish on FOX Sports 1 from 7am to 3pm ET. Live streaming of the entire race will be available on the FOX Sports GO mobile app. International television coverage is available on SPEED (Canada), Fox Sports Latin America, Motors TV (Europe), and Network Ten (Australia).
