A FAST START TO 2014 FOR ROB AUSTIN RACING
- Exocet fuel additive takes prime spot on BTCC’s most followed car
- DUO & Finch provide extra boost for RAR’s touring car season
Fast Exocet, one of the UK’s leading high performance fuel additive companies, has confirmed a major two-year title sponsorship of the Rob Austin Racing team in Britain’s premier motor racing championship, the Dunlop MSA British Touring Car Championship.
Full Exocet branding will be seen on one of RAR’s two Audis, while also appearing on the squad’s other car.
RAR goes into 2014’s BTCC fully intending to build on its breakthrough results from 2013 which included a first outright race win (Rockingham) and pole position (Knockhill). Team principal Rob Austin also led races at Brands Hatch and Oulton Park, achieved four more podium results and set two fastest race laps.
“2014 will see a much increased sponsorship deal with the team: one car will be entered under the Exocet Racing banner and carry insignia similar to that shown at Brands Hatch for the last meeting of the 2013 season.
“FAST sees its presence within the BTCC as an integral part of the company’s growth plans and the on-going efforts to increase the Exocet brand recognition within the automotive and retail sectors. This builds on our already successful exposure in the fuel distribution market.
RAR’s forthcoming season has been further boosted by even greater commitments from quarrying, aggregate recycling and handling industry leader DUO plc and vibrant vehicle graphics, visual effect and signage company Finch Signs. DUO’s name will be prominent on at least one of the Audi’s front and rear windscreen sunstrips and wing mirrors with Finch’s name present on the front bumper corners.
“Similarly DUO’s and Finch Signs’ contribution is massively important. It’s fair to say that the commitment shown by these companies puts us not only on the BTCC grid but also enables us to prepare better than ever before for an up-coming BTCC season. We are hugely appreciative of their loyalty – a word we build our team on – and will be going all out to give them the results they deserve both on and off the track.”
