TSF All Star: Podium for J-Fly Racing Audi R8 LMS ultra in the GT Master Cup in Taiwan

By Johan Laubscher

The TSF Asia All Star Challenge is taking place at the Penbay International Circuit in Taiwan this weekend. The first of three races was held this morning with a podium result for J-Fly Racing.

A four-car team has been entered by J-Fly Racing, run and prepared by Absolute Racing, with three older R8 LMS cars in the GTM class and one R8 LMS ultra in the GT3 class.

The first race on Sunday was the fifty minute GT Master Cup race. The highest Audi qualified in fourth, the #068 Audi R8 LMS of Adderly Fong. He was followed by the #77 Audi R8 LMS ultra of Jeffrey Lee and Rahel Frey in fifth.

The #77 R8 LMS ultra was able to move up to fourth and maintained that position until moving up to third during the closing stages, ensuring a strong podium result for Lee, Frey and the team. They finished behind the race winning #11 GAINER DIXCEL Mercedes-Benz SLS GT3 and the #55 Craft Racing Ford GT GT3.

Adderly Fong brought his #068 Audi R8 LMS across the line in fourth place. The #017 R8 LMS of Benjamin Lee and Carlo van Dam finished fifth, rounding out three Audis within the top five. The #666 Audi R8 LMS of Alex Chang and Evan Chen finished twelfth. These results were enough to claim an Audi 1-2 in the GTM class with the #068 winning ahead of the #017.

Two more races will be held later today. The two GT Master Challenge races will each be ten laps and the two drivers of each car will be driving them individually. The second race of the day will see the #77 Audi R8 LMS ultra staring from pole position.

We wish the best of luck to J-Fly Racing (Absolute Racing) and their drivers.
