TUSC: Flying Lizard Motorsports switches to Audi for 2014

By Johan Laubscher

Flying Lizard Motorsports, long-time Porsche entrants in North America, are going to be switching to Audi R8 LMS race cars for 2014. The news was broken by John Dagys on sportscar365.com this afternoon.

John Dagys' original news breaking article on sportscar365.com can be seen HERE.

The TUDOR United SportsCar Championship will be debuting next year and multiple Audi R8 race cars are expected to appear in the series. Audi cars from Fall-Line Motorsports and GMG Racing have already been mentioned and now Flying Lizard Motorsports has been added to the line-up.

They will be fielding two Audi R8 LMS cars in the GT Daytona (GTD) class. They tested an Audi R8 last month and have taken delivery of their two cars this week. Their driver line-up is yet to be announced.

The team will be taking part in the pre-season test sessions at Sebring (16-17 Nov) and Daytona (19-20).

It is great to see more new teams joining the Audi Sport customer racing family in North America.
