The German DTM series is at Zandvoort in the Netherlands this weekend. Saturday got off to a good start for the Audi teams during the free practice
session.
A total of five Audi RS 5 DTM cars made it into the top ten this morning.
The leading Audi was that of Edoardo Mortara (Audi Sport Team Rosberg), who placed second, a mere 0.184 seconds behind Augusto Farfus, who was fastest in his BMW M3 DTM.
Adrien Tambay (Audi Sport Team Abt) was the next Audi in the times, placing third. He was followed by Mike Rockenfeller (Audi Sport Team Phoenix) in sixth, Timo Scheider (Audi Sport Team Abt) in eighth and Miguel Molina (Audi Sport Team Phoenix) in ninth.
The Audi runners outside of the top ten were Filipe Albuquerque (Audi Sport Team Rosberg) in twelfth, Mattias Ekström (Audi Sport Team Abt Sportsline) in thirteenth and Jamie Green (Audi Sport Team Abt Sportsline) in fourteenth.
The entire top ten was covered by less than one second, and to emphasize how close it was, positions five through seven were all clocked at 1:32.204.
