The Belgian Audi Club Team WRT will be at the Nürburgring this weekend fighting for Blancpain Endurance Series season finale. The Belgian team is fighting for the series title and just made some adjustments to their driver line-ups in all three Audi R8 LMS ultra cars.
The #1 Audi R8 LMS will be driven by regulars Laurens Vanthoor, Stéphane Ortelli joined by Edward Sandström. The #2 Audi R8 LMS ultra will welcome a new face, Francesco Castellacci from Italy replacing Matt Halliday. He will join Rahel Frey and Niki Mayr-Melnhof. The third car of WRT the #13 Audi R8 LMS ultra will be shared by Frank Stippler, Christopher and René Rast.
Frank Stippler and Christopher Mies are fighting for the drivers title, they are second overall only two points behind the series leaders from Kessel Racing Ferrari. Both Frank Stippler and Christopher Mies finished in a strong third place last time out at the Spa 24 Hours. The Belgian Audi Club Team WRT is second in the team's standing behind Marc VDS BMW.
