Rolex Series: Full schedule for Fall-Line Motorsports at Watkins Glen

Fall-Line Motorsports Press Release

Buffalo Grove, IL (June 26, 2013) - We are halfway through the 2013 GRAND-AM Continental Tires Sports Car Challenge Series and Fall-Line Motorsports heads to Watkins Glen International looking for redemption.

All three BMW M3s were quick during the last race weekend at Mid Ohio Sports Car Course but couldn't capitalize on the speed and capture the results they had anticipated. The trio of cars are hoping that with over half of the 2013 season under their belts, the luck will start to turn for this veteran team, and the results will start coming their way for the three GS cars. New addition this weekend is the team's GRAND-AM Rolex GT program that will debut at this event for the remainder of the 2013 season. The #46 GRAND-AM Audi R8 will be one of two competing in the GT category this weekend during the Sahlen's Six Hours of the Glen.

The #46 Trim-Tex Drywall Products/ Fall-Line Motorsports BMW is coming off it's best finish of the year as Bryan Sellers and Mark Boden nabbed 4th place at Mid-Ohio. The pair will attempt to do much of the same this weekend and continue the speed and build off the momentum from the last race event.

The #48 Fall-Line Motorsports BMW had a string of bad luck at the last race but "the Charlie's"are looking forward to The Glen. They are pulling double-duty this weekend, as they will be piloting the GS car as well as sharing driving duties of the GT car. Both competed in a full-season last year driving in both series, so they are not strangers to doing the "double."

Charlie Putman: "Charles and I did "double duty" in both the Rolex and Continental Tire Series all year last year so doubling in our familiar Fall-Line BMW and the new Audi will not be totally new ground for us.  Al (Carter) has also had some experience at doubling so as drivers we aren't going into The Glen unprepared.  That said, running in both series is challenging and demanding under any conditions, not only for the drivers but also for the engineers and crew as well.  The new GRAND-AM Audi R8 is an impressive machine, and clearly fun to drive but a new car always requires a steep learning curve for the drivers and entire team. We are busy learning the new car and systems, which look very promising; so who knows, maybe we will get a little "beginner's luck" in this first race.   We are keeping our first race expectations in check for the new Fall-Line Audi but as racers we will be doing our best to show the program's potential and will be at "full throttle" come race time on Sunday."

Charles Espenlaub:
"I am super excited heading to Watkins Glen, which is one of the best tracks on the schedule. With both the Fall-Line BMW M3 and the Audi R8, how much better could it get? We have a great team, great cars, at a great track with great co-drivers...life is great!"

Hugh Plumb and Al Carter are eager to get their#45 Eagle/ B+ Foundation/ Fall-Line Motorsports BMW back on the track at Watkins Glen. For both, it is almost a home race, as Carter hails from Greenville, Del., and Plumb from Chadds Ford, Pa. The pair is looking for their luck to change as they have had strong races this year, but luck has just not been on their side. Carter will also drive the team's GT car in the Rolex Series with teammates Putman and Espenlaub for the six-hour race on Sunday.

Al Carter:
"I am excited and honored to be a part of Fall-Line's first race in the Audi R8. To be a part of their first foray into the GRAND-AM Rolex GT category is such a thrill for this inexperienced driver from Delaware. It's a cool feeling and I am so excited to get this opportunity. I am lucky that I get to see the inner workings of Fall-Line and how they operate as an organization and I am certain that this GT operation will be very successful as they finish out the 2013 season and look to 2014 and beyond."

Michael Harvey, Team Manager:
"After a very competitive run at the last round we are very much looking forward to Watkins Glen, a track we have previously won at with the Fall-Line BMWs. We have been fast all year but the results so far have eluded us. Fall-Line Motorsports are also very proud to debut our Audi R8 at the Sahlen's Six Hour of the Glen. This program is an accumulation of a lot of hard work from some very focused and dedicated people at both Fall-Line and Audi Sport Customer Racing and I have to thank all our drivers and partners for having faith in Fall-Line, Audi and the people who have worked tirelessly to make this happen."

The two-hour, 30-minute Continental Tire 150 at the Glen will start at 3p. ET on Saturday, June 29 with LIVE web coverage on www.speed2.com where available. The race will air on SPEED,Saturday, July 6 at 4p. ET.
