DTM: Jamie Green fastest in Lausitzring free practice

By Johan Laubscher

The DTM is at the Lausitzring this weekend, for the fourth round of the season. The Saturday morning free practice session has seen a resurgence from the ABT squad.

Audi new comer Jamie Green (ABT) set the fastest time this morning, leading home six Audis within the top ten. Timo Scheider (ABT) placed his Audi RS 5 DTM in third, sandwiching the Mercedes-Benz of Gary Paffet in second.

The next pair of Audis finished in fifth and sixth place, with Adrien Tambay (ABT) ahead of Mike Rockenfeller (Phoenix). The remaining two Audis within the top ten placed in eighth with Mattias Ekström (ABT) and tenth with Edoardo Mortara (Rosberg).

The top ten itself was split by just over half a second and contained one BMW, three Mercedes-Benz and six Audis.

The qualifying session will take place later this afternoon, and we wish the best of luck to the Audi teams and drivers.

The results from free practice can be seen HERE.
