Temporary change of personnel at THE BOSS YACO Racing as Philip Geipel shares the cockpit of his Audi with a new team-mate.
THE BOSS YACO Racing have a new driver line-up for the Sachsenring weekend. The Audi R8 LMS ultra entered by the team from Plauen will be driven by local favourite Philip Geipel and Christian Mamerow.
"We were planning to send Philip into action with Dino Lunardi, just like at Spa-Francorchamps," explains THE BOSS YACO Racing team principal Uwe Geipel. "However, it turns out that Dino has a clash of engagements, with the French GT championship also being held this weekend, so he wasn't available. I'm delighted that we have been able to recruit Christian Mamerow as a replacement at such short notice. Christian knows the Audi very well. Together with Philip, the two of them make a strong pairing, and I'm confident that we will secure two respectable results with the Audi here on our local stamping ground."
