2013 marks the end of an era in North America. Since 1999 the annual
Sebring 12 Hours has played host to the American Le Mans Championship and ACO
rules based cars. For 2014 the ALMS and the Grand-Am are merging and within
this new merger the LMP1 category is being removed. This means that essentially
2013 will be the last Audi LMP1 appearance at Sebring. Despite Sebring not
being a WEC round, the team will be at the event for their Sebring LMP1 swansong, with no less than two Audi R18 e-tron quattro cars.

The official American Le Mans Series YouTube channel has been uploading a number of videos featuring old race footage. They have just uploaded what is basically the entire 2000 Sebring 12 Hours race coverage onto the YouTube channel with over ten hours of video. 2000 was Audi’s second Sebring 12 Hours and the debut of the almighty Audi R8. The event was the first ever Audi sportscar race win, and the beginning of Audi’s endurance racing legacy. Enjoy watching the race.
