The Audi Sport Finale was held last night. At the event evening Audi
Sport announced their plans for 2013. Among their plans a new evolution version
of the Audi R8 LMS ultra was revealed. A single CAD drawing of the newly up-dated
vehicle was published, and it looks brilliant. The changes are many confined to
the rear which includes a new rear wing, rear diffuser and a centralised
exhaust outlet. The new rear wing utilises the “swan-neck design”.
The CAD drawing also depicts the new R8 LMS ultra with the new facelifted
rear lights. This may be an indication that the new evolution version of
the R8 LMS ultra will indeed have the facelifted appearance of the new road car
versions. However confirmation of this will have to wait until the first cars
are seen and delivered in early 2013. But one thing is for certain, we cannot
wait to see the new car out on track.
